The Communicator's Tool Kit
Open Enrollment Seminars
The Communicator's Tool Kit was designed with the busy manager in mind. It's a great starting point for improving communication skills or an opportunity to evaluate topics for an internal program. Either way, you'll walk away from each session with an understanding of the topic and specific tools to improve your skills.
Targeting Your Messages to Drive Results
An audience forgets up to 95% of what you say in a meeting, on a phone call or in a formal presentation. Learning how to craft a message that blends your objective with a bottom-line result for your audience is a critical part of effective communication. This session focuses on message development and understanding how an audience listens and what you can expect them to hear.
Critical Conversations
The best communication occurs when the speaker and the listener share a common perspective and objective. But, seeing the other point of view isn't always easy. In fact, it can lead to some pretty critical and difficult conversations. This session introduces the concepts of balancing perspectives, reading non-verbal cues, building consensus and driving actions through critical conversations.
Engaging a Remote Audience
As companies shift to a remote format for presentations, it takes a new set of skills and a new messaging format to develop and deliver effective webinars and conference calls. This session offers tools and tips to construct presentations that keep a remote audience tuned in and involved in your topic.
Make Your Point with Visuals
Visuals can be the best support or the worst component of a presentation. And, for many presenters, it's simply a matter of understanding how to build them and use them effectively. This session defines the role of support materials, the concepts needed to build a good storyboard and the best interaction between the presenter and the materials.
Developing Your Personal Elevator Pitch
Great communicators know as much about listening as they do about speaking. One of the more challenging situations for some of the best communicators can be meeting people and learning how to position their services. This session introduces the fundamentals of creating a personal elevator pitch and positioning yourself in terms of what a prospect values.
Each session runs from 8:30am - 12:00pm.
