SW&A's Signature Programs

Winning Presentations, Executive Presence and Leading Executive Conversations

For almost thirty years, SW&A has provided custom workshops to help companies and teams improve the results of their spoken communication. Last year, we began offering an open-enrollment version of these courses to give individuals an opportunity to experience the programs and managers a chance to evaluate them.

Winning Presentations

Everyone is a presenter whether you're on a stage, across a conference table or on a video conference. Your customer agrees with your ideas, a prospect buys your services or co-workers are motivated to implement changes. And, while many people know "everything" that they want to say, few people are really good at leaving the audience with one clear message.

Effective presentations reach an objective. From developing a clear message to outlining your main points and creating powerful examples, our Winning Presentations one day workshop will teach you how to develop a presentation and deliver it with confidence and conviction.

Key Components:

  • Creating a Powerful Message
  • Outlining Main Points
  • Developing Examples to Support Ideas
  • Presenting Yourself with Confidence & Conviction

2012 Dates:  June 15, August 24, October 26, December 7

Executive Presence

Presence isn't something you give yourself but something you earn from those around you who come to respect your right to speak and your ability to lead. Some have called it an "earned authority". It is a combination of behaviors and attitudes that present a sense of confidence, competence, commitment and authenticity.

This workshop introduces the essential qualities for delivering a message with confidence and credibility. Through videotaped exercises, we'll help participants evaluate their own style and explore new choices that improve their overall presence.

Key Components:

The Three C's of Style: Confidence, Commitment & Connection

  • Taking Ownership for Impressions
  • Standing Your Ground
  • Creating Energy in Your Message
  • Engaging an Audience of One or One Hundred

2012 Dates:  June 22, July 20, September 21, November 9

Leading Executive Conversations

The missing component in most executive conversations is a clear message. More than any other listener, an executive wants to know the bottom-line benefit or decision that needs to be made right up front. The message frames their role in the conversation and engages an executive quickly by providing context. Without a message or focus, executives become impatient and distracted. And, an impatient executive can quickly throw a presenter and a conversation off track.

This workshop teaches the framework of an executive conversation.  By understanding an executive's perspective and learning to outline challenges and discuss needs, participants will be able to lead a discussion that helps explain strategies and opportunities to achieve results.  Confidence and credibility are key to building trust in a conversation so we focus on the core skills of executive presence as well.

Key Components:

  • Understanding the CEO Perspective
  • Developing a Conversation Framework
  • Aligning Needs with Solutions
  • Presenting Yourself with Confidence & Conviction

2012 Dates:  July 13th, August 9, October 11

All workshops run from 8:30am - 4:30pm on the dates listed.
